Hello Hedgehog Families,

We are on Week 4 of the school year. The summer heat is winding down and the mornings are not a bit cooler. Students should start coming to school in layers.

Some quick reminders:

  • Every Wednesday is an early release day. Students are released at 1400.
  • This Friday, September 12th, is an Early Release Day. Students will be released at 1130. School breakfast will be served, but no school lunch will be available.

Please do not send students to school earlier than 0810. There is no staff member available to supervise them at the playground. Be updated with the Tri-Base Youth Supervision Guidelines.

There are three bells during morning recess at the playground. The first one is at 0820 for 5th grade, the next bell rings at 0824 for 1st-3rd grade, and the third bell rings at 0826 for 4th grade.

Did you know that we have a Share Bin at school? The Share Bin is filled daily by students during breakfast and lunch with food items they don't need so other students can freely take and enjoy them. Only packaged, unopened, or uneaten food items are placed in the bin. This bin is moved to the school nurse's office the rest of the day to make it easier for students to grab something healthy and nutritious for snacks. The Share Bin is a green school initiative at our school.

That's all for now. Keep smiling, and keep learning, hedgehogs!
